If you elect to separate your recyclable materials:
|CR&R Observes the Following Holidays|
Christmas trees will be collected beginning December 26th through January 15th at no charge. We ask that you place your tree near your regular collection area and remove all ornaments, and stands. If your tree is longer than 6’ please cut it in half. Our tree collectors will be by on your collection day so there is no need to call our office.
As part of the city’s planned change in solid waste service, each residence may
select from the following sizes of containers:
Container dimensions are approximate and are provided to assist in ensuring that your cart storage area (side yard, garage, etc.) can accommodate the size of cart that you order.
Additional carts are provided at no chargeSpecial Collections
Larger waste collection containers (from 10 to 40 yards) are available for clean-up projects and other disposal needs.

If you order a recycling cart we provide the following information to assist you in identifying and removing materials unsuitable for recycling.
Milk or Juice Cartons
Chipboard (Cereal/Cracker Boxes)
Any White Paper
Mixed Products such as combinations of paper and metal
Please remove liquids, lids and food residue from all recyclables before placing them in the recycling container.
PET: soft drink bottles, photo film canisters
HDPE: detergent containers, plastic water/milk containers, pails, t-shirt bags
PVC: sprinkler pipe
LDPE: trash can liners, shrink wrap, grocery bags
PP: yogurt containers, luggage, drinking straws
PS: plastic plates, cups egg cartons, food trays
Other: Tupperware and mixed plastic containers
No Mixed Products (ie plastic/metal combination)
Empty Aerosol Cans
Metal Coat Hangers
Food and Juice Jars
Empty Paint Cans (dry paint is OK)

Household Hazardous Wastes (HHW) are products that are flammable, corrosive,
reactive or toxic. They are dangerous to the public and environment.
Examples of HHW include:
Needles, lancets and other home-generated sharps may be collected door side.
A fresh sharps collection container will be delivered upon collection of a
filled container. Sharps by mail kits are also available at City Hall, and the
Oasis Senior Center.
Household items that cannot fit into your automated carts are considered bulky
items. Bulky items must weigh less than 50lbs. and be manageable by a two-person
crew. Common bulky items include:
To arrange a pickup of bulky items or enhanced bulky items, please call Customer Service at 877.728.0446 and they will schedule the collection on your normal service day.

Customers with disabilities may request cart pull out service at no charge.
Drivers will remove carts from your cart storage area and return emptied carts.
Proof of disability will be required. If you do not meet the requirements for
free cart pull-out service, you can request the service by contacting Customer
Service for additional information and rates. Customer service may be reached at
CR&R will provide a summer Saturday collection with a second weekly collection on Saturday from two Saturdays prior to July 4th through the Saturday prior to Labor Day each year. To view the map of these defined areas please click here.
There will be a paper shred event on Saturday, May 2 from 8:00am – 11 noon. It will be held the OASIS Senior Center's auxiliary parking lot located at the northwest corner of Marguerite & Fifth Avenue, Corona del Mar.
Mulch Give Away will be provided once annually with a date, location, and time to be announced. Please check back for additional information.
