| For
every new building or home that goes up in the county, there are tons that
come down. Literally. What to do with all the materials from these old
and demolished structures? Recycling was the first thing that came to our
minds. So, in the very near future, we will be opening a state-of-the-art construction and demolition (C&D)
facility in San Juan Capistrano that will process nearly 1,000 tons per
day of used wood, drywall, steel, concrete, and asphalt. In fact, we will be
able to reclaim for reuse some 90 percent of the materials we receive.
That’s a window of opportunity we couldn’t pass up. |
