Many restaurants have successfully adopted programs to recycle cardboard, glass, and cans. However, 50 percent of their trash remains food waste. In our quest to close that circle and find ways to redirect trash from the landfill, CR&R is proactively exploring ways to compost food waste and turn it into natural fertilizer and related by-products. You might say we’ve already got a lot on our plate, but we’re making this one a priority. Stay tuned as we research this idea and see if it can become a new recipe for successful food recycling.
